The change in seasons means the start of new things. That includes summer camps and activities. Lucky for Dothan residents, people of all ages can find something exciting to do. So, if you want to add some shine to the season, sign up for Dothan’s summer programs from Dothan Leisure Services, starting May 1.

Parks, tourism, and cool events—Dothan Leisure Services makes them all run smoothly. This season, they also will conduct a variety of programs. Ranging from camps, to classes, to athletics and more, they offer a wide variety of choices. And, as a resident of the town, you’re welcome to register.

What programs can I choose from?

Dothan residents have plenty of options when it comes to deciding what they’ll do this summer. People of all ages can choose between one-off events, camps, aquatics, and all kinds of other activities. Not to mention, some of the events will take place at Water World Dothan!

So, begin planning right away! Some of the many programs and events include:

  • The Water World Summer Movie Series;
  • Art Camp;
  • Splash Cinema at Dothan City Pools;
  • Adult slow-pitch softball;
  • Water World Opening Day 2021;
  • STEM Camp;
  • Adult education classes;
  • Multiple child’s summer camps, like Camp Olympia and Camp Choctaw;
  • Two-week-long swim lesson sessions;
  • Dress for Success Bootcamp, which teaches attendees how to succeed in the professional world;
  • Youth Adventure Camp;
  • 23rd Annual Youth Fishing Day;
  • Coding Camp;
  • Youth archery classes;
  • British Soccer Camp;
  • And more.

When does registration begin?

You can start registering soon! The slots will open up to the public on May 1 at 9 a.m.

Where can I register?

If you want to sign up for Dothan’s summer programs, you can register at the following recreational centers:

  • Walton Park Recreation Center at 122 Walton Park Drive;
  • Doug Tew Recreation Center at 300 Garland St.;
  • Westgate Recreation Center at 501 Recreation Road;
  • Andrew Belle Community Center at 1270 Lake St.; and
  • Wiregrass Park Recreation Center at 620 6th Ave.
