About StoryWalk

For starters, there are two StoryWalk trails in Dothan—one at Walton Park and the other at Dothan’s Kiwanis Park and Trail. Both StoryWalk trails are a half-mile.

What is a StoryWalk? As you travel along the outdoor trails, you will come across several stations. Each station displays sections of a picture book.

By the end, you will have read an entire story as you walked along the trail surrounded by nature.

Get outside!

Spring is a good time to visit the StoryWalk trails in Dothan. In case you don’t know, a new story was shared at the beginning of April. In fact, visitors to the Walton Park StoryWalk will discover Oddbird by Derek Desierto.

Luckily, there’s still time to exercise your mind and body before a new story is shared in May at both StoryWalk trails in Dothan.

Of course, you should make plans to go once a month throughout the spring, fall and winter, since that’s how often the stories are changed. But in the summer, fill up those water bottles and hydrate. The stories are updated every two weeks!
