About the Wiregrass BluesFest
This year’s Wiregrass BluesFest at The Plant is pleased to announce a refreshing lineup featuring five dynamic blues bands. Festivalgoers will be sipping and swaying to the music of King Baby, Sister Lucille, Ben Flournoy Trio, Lil´ Jimmy Reed and The Legacy Band and Big Al and The Heavy Weights.
While you sing the blues, you can also chow down on a Southern classic, barbecue!
For this “winner-takes-all competition,” professional teams must have a license from the City of Dothan. Teams are responsible for bringing tables and everything they need to sell their BBQ throughout the festival. Check out the rules and regulations here if you are interested in participating.
Besides tasty barbecue and live music, there will be arts and crafts vendors, a car show, a charity bike ride, kids’ activities and much more.
But that’s not all. Before the official Wiregrass BluesFest at The Plant on Saturday, there’s the Pre-Fest Party on Friday, March 24th, from 6 to 9 p.m. Guests will have the chance to meet and mingle with the BluesFest performers, plus enjoy free appetizers and a cash bar.
