Now Open: Henry’s Closet in Dothan

Henry's Closet in Dothan

As the old saying goes, sometimes in life we need a hand up, not a hand out. That’s exactly what the recently-opened Henry’s Closet in Dothan is providing to children and families in need in our community.

Henry’s Closet

Henry’s Closet in Dothan officially opened on February 7th at the Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center (CAC). CAC clients can now shop in a safe environment with no money needed, no questions asked.

Henry’s Closet is fully stocked thanks to the generous donations of the entire community—from individuals to businesses alike!

Find clothing, baby items, personal care items, home goods and more at Henry’s Closet in Dothan.

The peace of mind that comes from being able to shop for these necessary items in a comfortable setting without judgment is priceless for families in transition.

Not to mention the fact when you have a lot on your plate and you forgot to get toilet paper, it’s nice to know you can pop into the center and get what you need right then and there!

In other exciting news, the shop’s namesake is a one-year-old Australian Shepard who is now a Certified Therapy Dog for the center!

Want to contribute?

It’s never too late to make a donation to the CAC. In fact, Henry’s Closet even has a “Wish List” available on Amazon if you would like to purchase needed items from there.

Otherwise, the center always accepts additional in-kind, in-person donations too.

Needed items include things like laundry detergent, baby wipes, diapers, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, feminine products, razors, shaving cream and so on.
