Downtown Books in Dothan happens to be one of Foster Street’s newest stars. The locally-owned, independent bookstore opened just in time for holiday shopping.
However, residents can look forward to their grand opening sometime in the new year.
Dothan native and store owner Stacy Fountain has created a space “for you to find your story.”
Thus, you will discover not only a hand-picked, thoughtful collection of books to purchase. You will also find a comfortable place to pursue literature, connect and talk with neighbors and newcomers alike.
Did we mention bookworms will find titles they love across all genres and all ages at Downtown Books? From the classics to thrillers to nonfiction to children’s literature, it can all be found on shelves and in cozy nooks throughout the store.
Plus, a selection of “Staff Picks” can be purchased online. Furthermore, the bookstore partnered with libro.fm to bring shoppers a plethora of audiobooks to choose from too.

Downtown Books in Dothan is located at 150 North Foster St., which happens to be next to lots of other local gems. After getting lost in a world of books, you may find yourself quite hungry.
